2019 Individual Income Tax Preparation Engagement Letter

2019 Individual Income Tax Preparation Engagement Letter

This letter is to confirm and specify the terms of Brewer Financial Firm engagement with you, the taxpayer, and to clarify the nature and extent of the services Brewer Financial Firm will provide. It is to be understood that Brewer Financial Firm is being hired by you, the taxpayer, to prepare the Individual Income Tax Return. The IRS imposes penalties on taxpayers and tax return preparers for failure to observe due care in preparing income tax returns. In order to ensure an understanding of our mutual responsibilities, we ask all clients to confirm the following arrangements.

We will prepare your 2019 U.S. Individual Income Tax Return with all necessary supporting Forms and Schedules from the information provided by you. It is your responsibility to provide us all the information required for the preparation of a complete and accurate income tax return. The tax preparers at Brewer Financial Firm will not authenticate nor manufacture any documents to benefit the taxpayer. You represent that the information you are supplying to us is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge and that any expenses claimed for meals, entertainment, travel, business gifts, dues and membership, vehicle usage, and/or charitable contributions are supported by records as required by law and that you have disclosed all known tax liabilities.

IRS guidelines require us to e- file all income tax returns we prepare. If you feel e- filing your income tax return will do you undue hardship, a full and plausible explanation must be given and approved, otherwise your income tax return will be filed electronically with the IRS. Prior to you signing the Form 8879, you will be provided a complete copy of your income tax return to review. Before signing your tax return, it is your responsibility to ask questions regarding fees, total amount due, or refund to be received.

We will not audit or otherwise verify the data you submit, although it may be necessary to ask you for clarification of some of the information. You have the final responsibility for your income tax return and, therefore, you should review your return carefully.

We will use professional judgment in resolving questions where the tax law is unclear, or where there may be conflicts between the taxing authorities’ interpretations of the law. Before any return is submitted to the IRS, it is reviewed and approved by the owner of the Brewer Financial Firm, Monica Brewer. Once it is approved, the owner will submit the Individual tax return. The owner is the only one that can submit an Individual tax return

In the event you receive a letter from the IRS on an income tax return we prepared, we will assist you in resolving the issue with the IRS. Fees may apply to undisclosed tax liabilities. If you receive an IRS audit request, the initial consultation we spend on the audit are at no cost to you; however after the consultation you will be billed at our standard rate of $350 per hour. If your U.S. Individual Tax Return is selected for review by taxing authorities, any proposed adjustment maybe subject to rights of appeal.

In the event you do not receive a Federal tax refund for whatever reason, including frozen refund, audit, back taxes owed, federal obligation, then you, the taxpayer, will be held responsible to pay your total preparation fee within thirty(30) days of notice that a refund will not be received. Failure to pay the fees will result in criminal action being taking by Brewer Financial Firm. If a refund for the taxpayer has not been received in ninety(90) days from the filing date in order for Brewer Financial Firm to recoup the fees, the taxpayer will be required to pay any outstanding fees in full. Failure to do so, will result in criminal action being taking against the taxpayer.

Because it is advised, required, and mandatory that you read ALL forms BEFORE signing, the office of Brewer Financial Firm, will NOT reimburse any portion of tax preparation fees or any other fees associated with the Individual tax return under any circumstances.

As a result the Affordable Care Act regulations, depending on your circumstances we may need income information for all members of your tax household.
